Maseno Soccer League's mid-season is fast approaching. Prior to the weekend fixtures, SC Maseno Homeboyz was fifth on the 20-team log led by Tsunami FC.
The weekend fixtures were against the high-paced Transmilan FC on Saturday and the 'South African' SOWETO FC.
On Saturday, a goalless draw saw SC Maseno Homeboyz salvage a point from the match. During the match, several attempts failed including a header that hit the post and other clear chances missed.
On Sunday, the 8:00 AM game started well with Homeboyz getting an opener through Lewis Wanjala from a free-kick. Few moments later, Hamza Osundwa opened his account this season, netting from a simple tap, making it 2-0 at half-time.
The determined SOWETO reinforced their attack and got a relief at the begining of the half before two more goals from SC Maseno Homeboyz's Marcos and Collins Stanley sealing the game with a 4 - 1 win. - ^H.W.
